Dance Gavin Dance, by all accounts, shouldn’t be here. They’ve changed their lead vocalist four separate times, and now have more former members than current members in their band. Yet somehow, they’ve persisted. They’ve kept their heads down, continued their craft, and have become one of the most enigmatic and unpredictable bands in post-hardcore. Their signature blend of jazz, metalcore, pop-rock, and everything else they do has captivated fans for the better part of the last decade, and their work ethic has allowed them to release seven albums (six full-lengths and an EP) since 2007, and that work ethic has taken them all over the world. Now carrying the same lineup into consecutive albums for the first time in their history, the band are in a great place. There is no greater evidence of the revitalized sound than their stage presence, which Donald was able to experience that at GameChangerWorld in Howell, NJ while the band was on their Instant Gratification Tour. You can check out some photos that Donald took from the show below, and be sure to keep your eyes open for his interview with founding member and guitarist Will Swan later this week!
